Youth Day
September, 2024
The Halton Agricultural Society invites the students, teachers and parent volunteers from all schools in Halton Region to attend the Milton Fall Fair on our Agricultural Education Youth Day, Friday, September 27th, 2024.
This is the 169th year for the Milton Fall Fair and we continue in our vision to educate everyone about agriculture, the rural lifestyle and its importance to our society and personal well-being.
This year we have more opportunities than ever for valuable learning experiences with plenty of demonstrations and hands-on activities, many organized specifically for this day only. We are continually enhancing our program and its connection to the curriculum requirements for agricultural education. Our curriculum is geared to grades 2 & 3, although all grades are welcome to attend.
Some of our attractions include Hands on Exotics, a blacksmith and various demonstrations. The Homecraft displays in the various buildings are also open for viewing. Don’t miss the Agriculture Education Tent!
We also offer opportunities for your school or individual students to get involved in competitions or displays at our fair. Please see Prize & Competition List Class 45 and for the School Display and children’s entries. The scheduled event times with a map of the grounds to help prepare you and your students for their visit, will be sent to your school once full payment has been received. It will efficiently move your group throughout the site, allowing your students to see all we have to offer. Our schedule for the day will begin at 9:30 and run until 2:00 pm.
We request that the enclosed form be returned to us by September 20th, 2024. Space is limited and registrations will be taken on a first come-first served basis. The fee per student is $5 each, teachers and required volunteers will be free. We suggest a ratio of between 8-10 students per adult.
The $5/student fee includes one drink (milk/water), one hotdog and a one-day children’s pass to the 2024 Milton Fair. Full payment must be submitted by Sept 25, 2024.
REMINDER: Entries for Homecraft & Children’s Classes MUST be submitted online through Assist Expo All entries must be submitted online by September 20th, 2024. NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED!
